Legacy 3PL: 25+ Years of Warehousing and Transportation Experience
Our story started back in 1999 when brothers Perry and Tim Towns founded Diversified Contractors (DCI), an Alabama 3PL company based in Birmingham and Huntsville. Following the success of DCI, the Towns brothers went on to launch Legacy Transportation and Warehousing in 2019 to support DCI’s growing customer base and evolving service needs. Legacy Transportation & Warehousing ultimately was created as a niche 3PL to offer transportation and value-added warehousing services with one simple goal in mind: provide top-notch service to our customers and create a company culture that treats employees like family.
Today, both businesses remain family-owned and operated, focused on carrying the company forward to meet the ever-evolving needs of the transportation and warehousing industries, one relationship at a time.

We got our start providing warehousing and transportation solutions to companies in Birmingham and Huntsville, Alabama. Since then, we’ve expanded our service area and reach to include the entire Southeastern United States.
